Habitat for Humanity Lima Area hosted their annual appreciation dinner Tuesday evening. Habitat for Humanity prepared the meal for board and committee members, ReStore staff, volunteers, and sponsors inside the City Club in Downtown Lima. The dinner, along with raffle drawings, is Habitat's way of expressing gratitude for the hard work completed by all in fulfilling area housing projects. Before dinner, we talked with Executive Director, Bruce Hilty, about why this event is so important.

LIMA, OH (WLIO) - Allen County Children Services celebrated foster families at the first annual Foster Parent Appreciation Banquet since 2019.
Thursday evening, the Big Brothers Big Sisters of West Central Ohio held an appreciation dinner for their volunteers at Old Barn Out Back. The evening began with a small speech from the Executive Director, John Neville followed up with a dinner, then a motivational speech from one of the volunteers. John spoke about the importance of having volunteers help with the organization.
Residents at the Lima Towers extending a big thank you to those who serve and protect them. Members of the Lima fire and police departments being treated to lunch Friday for all they do for the Towers on a regular basis.
The Salvation Army helps hundreds of people in the community throughout the year, and it takes a lot of volunteers and businesses to make that happen.
