LIMA, OH (WLIO) - Habitat for Humanity Lima Area hosted their annual appreciation dinner Tuesday evening.
Habitat for Humanity prepared the meal for board and committee members, ReStore staff, volunteers, and sponsors inside the City Club in Downtown Lima. The dinner, along with raffle drawings, is Habitat's way of expressing gratitude for the hard work completed by all in fulfilling area housing projects. Before dinner, we talked with Executive Director Bruce Hilty about why this event is so important.

"We wouldn't be able to do anything of significance if it weren't for our volunteers and people who have supported us financially over the years. This is really a celebration about legacy for people who have been involved in the local effort here for Habitat for Humanity for the last 33 years, and we are just trying to say thank you to them because that's where this all happens. This is about people putting their faith into action," says Bruce Hilty, Executive Director, Habitat for Humanity Lima Area.
For 2025, Hilty says they are seeking to expand their home construction.
