KENTON, Ohio (WLIO) - In Hardin County, significant damage was reported from Thursday night's storms at the Hardin County Fairgrounds in Kenton.
In a viewer submitted video, drone footage has captured multiple buildings at the fairgrounds sustaining major damage. The video shows one large building storing campers had a large portion of its roof completely ripped off and thrown. The poultry and rabbit building suffered a partial collapse. Hardin County Fair officials say the grounds are closed to the public as cleanup efforts continue.
The National Weather Service office from Wilmington is surveying the damage in Hardin County and Kenton and has confirmed that a tornado touched down on Thursday night. More details are expected soon.
