In a release from the state auditor, Shawnee Township failed to invoice and collect funds for fire and ambulance services to the Joint Systems Manufacturing Center. They were in a contract with the JSMC for fire and ambulance services from April 1, 2021, to March 31, 2023.

Ohio Auditor Keith Faber in town to present the awards to Allen County Auditor Rachel Gilroy. This is the 4th year that her office and the 3rd for the landbank. The state not only looks over the books but also the legislation that determines the usage of taxpayers' dollars. By receiving a "clean audit" from the state, it does affect other aspects of government.

Ohio Secretary of State Frank LaRose was at the Allen County Board of Elections on Thursday to oversee the audits and talk to board members about how the election went. More Ohioans than ever cast their ballots in the 2020 election, despite it being in the midst of a global pandemic. The way we voted changed too, as over half of the voters voted early or with absentee ballots. With all of the uncertainty surrounding how people expected this election to go, audits are a way to make sure we got the process right.

Ohio Auditor Keith Faber has officially placed the village of Spencerville on the unauditable list. The decision came after state auditors determined a regular financial audit done between January of 2017 to December of 2018 was not acceptable enough to complete. The list of information required to finish the audit was sent in a letter from Auditor Faber. The village will have 90 days after the date of the letter to revise its financial records and give the information needed for the audit.
