The event will take place on Thursday, September 26th, 2024, at 5:30 p.m. This new office marks an important step in the organization’s commitment to expanding its services and outreach across the region. The public is invited to attend the grand opening, which will feature a ribbon-cutting ceremony, light refreshments, and a chance to meet the Big Brothers Big Sisters team. This new location will allow the organization to better serve the Hardin County community by providing mentoring services and support to even more youth in need.

Big Brothers Big Sisters of West Central Ohio has a new director and some new goals for their organization. Portia Smith took over as the new executive director this month. She brings extensive experience in the nonprofit sector to the mentoring organization. Big Brothers Big Sisters offers community-based mentoring programs and programs in school districts in Allen, Putnam, and Hardin counties. However, she would like to see the organization grow even further to help more kids.
