Tuesday, the Crossroads Crisis Center held their annual tree planting in memory of those who lost their lives to domestic violence, to honor those who have survived domestic violence, and for all those who are working to end domestic violence. Crossroads officials say that there is more than just physical abuse that comes from the violence and that the partnership they have with the 'we care crisis center' is a key service to many individuals.

A special type of tree is now in bloom in the City of Lima. Thanks to Lima's Sister-City of Harima-Cho in Japan, a number of weeping cherry trees were planted in the city in 1997.
