October 22, 2024, Press Release from the Office of Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost: (COLUMBUS, Ohio) — Attorney General Dave Yost is suing Boeing’s board of directors on behalf of two Ohio pension funds, seeking accountability for a pattern of safety and compliance failures that have harmed the company and its investors. “The safety failures at Boeing are endangering lives and threatening the financial security of shareholders,” Yost said. “Running a safe, respectable company starts with the people at the top – and it’s time for them to be held accountable.” Yost’s office – representing the Ohio Public Employees Retirement System and the State Teachers Retirement System of Ohio – accuses Boeing board members of breaching their fiduciary duties by failing to properly oversee the company.

Zwez most recently served as publisher and editor of the Wapakoneta Daily News; she was previously affiliated wit the Evening Leader newspaper in St. Marys and the Community post newspaper in Minster. She has been active in Auglaize County for more than 30 years, having served on the United Way board of directors in the late 1990s, and as board members for both the St. Marys and Wapakoneta Chamber of Commerce, is a Rotarian, serves on the Wapakoneta YMCA board of directors as past president, and volunteers with the Wapakoneta Community Thanksgiving Dinner Committee.

Erin Hardesty will be taking over the position from Derek Stemen in March. Hardesty has been a part of the United Way for over 30 years, serving as campaign chair in 2011 and served on just about every committee established at the agency. She also served on the board of directors for 12 years and as Labor Liaison connecting local unions to the work of the United Way. Stemen has accepted a job with LifeWise Academy to serve as their Director of Advancement.
