“It will come in in phases,” said RTA Executive Director Brian Wildermuth. “We’ll probably start off with our demand response, which we do all over now anyway, and then probably look into a micro transit, which is like a zone area type thing. And then if everything goes well through a grant that we will be applying for — probably late next summer, early fall — then we’d look into a fixed route also.”

Plans are underway for additional public transportation access in downtown Lima.
Ohio House Speaker Robert Cupp was in Lima on Monday at the Allen County Regional Transit Authority. ACRTA officials gave Speaker Cupp, as well as his office representatives and a representative from Downtown Lima Incorporation, a tour of their facilities and the most recent upgrades implemented.
Starting June 7th, RTA buses will be running weekday routes to the City of Delphos and the Village of Bluffton. Transit officials say they are starting with these two municipalities and could add more over time. The purpose of the new routes is simple.
