Lima police, fire, and EMS responded to a crash at a busy intersection Monday afternoon. Just after 3 p.m., a Volkswagen and an SUV collided at the intersection of Allentown and Cable Roads in Lima. The Volkswagen suffered front right damage, and the SUV sustained damage to its right side with airbag deployment. No one was injured in the crash. Traffic was briefly redirected as crews cleaned up the scene.

The City of Lima is making some modifications after hearing from the public. The proposed changes are to a half-mile of Cable Road. Due to the number of crashes along Cable Road from Latham to College Park West, safety improvements need to be made. After a public meeting in March 2024, the city has made a few adjustments to the design by adding an additional lane from Windsor Drive to College Park West. The proposed center median is still the best alternative for eliminating cross-traffic issues.

You only have one more chance to experience the Lima Farmers Market this year. Saturday will be the final farmers market of the season. Besides several vendors selling baked goods and produce, there will be pumpkin painting and a fall photo booth. EBT and SNAP are also accepted at the farmer's market for people to take home some produce. If you would like to go, it runs from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the Cable Road side of the UNOH campus.
