LIMA, OH (WLIO) - The necropsy results are in for the skinned canines found dumped on Lakewood Avenue.
The Lima Police Department was called out to a home in the 2400 block of Lakewood Avenue, around 9:30 a.m. on New Year's Eve morning, after a person looking after the home while the residents were away found two dead canines. They were both skinned and left in the driveway. The person that noticed the canines told police that they were not there at 10 o'clock the night before when they were at the home last.

Ohio State Highway Patrol troopers filed felony drug charges against a Florida woman after a traffic stop in Wood County. During the traffic stop, troopers seized 33 pounds of cocaine worth approximately $1,073,000.
Lima Superintendent Jill Ackerman says a recent award she received is thanks to the hard work of everyone in the district.
