LIMA, OH (WLIO) - The Ohio SPCA is looking for information about who discarded two dead canines on a property in Lima.
The Lima Police Department was called out to a home in the 2400 block of Lakewood Avenue, around 9:30 a.m. on New Year's Eve morning, after a person looking after the home while the residents were away found two dead canines. They were both skinned and left in the driveway. The person that noticed the canines told police that they were not there at 10 o'clock the night before when they were at the home last. The Ohio SPCA investigator was called in and the animals were taken to Columbus for necropsies to determine the cause of death and to see if they were domesticated dogs.
According to Lima Police Department's report, neither the residence or the residence across the street picked up any footage from doorbell cameras. The Ohio SPCA is currently looking for tips in the case and is offering a $1,000 reward for the arrest of the people responsible for the act. You can contact them by calling 419-991-1775.
