The Lima Police Department was called out to a home in the 2400 block of Lakewood Avenue, around 9:30 a.m. on New Year's Eve morning, after a person looking after the home while the residents were away found two dead canines. They were both skinned and left in the driveway. The person that noticed the canines told police that they were not there at 10 o'clock the night before when they were at the home last.

The Lima Police Department says they are seeing vehicle break-ins increase throughout the city, but they are recently noticing increased activity on the west side of town. Areas such as Cable Road, Elijah Parkway, Tall Oaks, and Gloria Avenue are among those areas. The department says you can expect to see an increase in overnight patrols in these problem areas, but Lima residents need to do their part in preventing these crimes.

The Allen County Sheriff’s Office has released the dash camera video from Deputy Izak Ackerman's patrol car on June 21st. The video shows the attempted traffic stop of Quincy Prichett around 2:30 in the morning and the foot chase that led to Prichett being shot and killed and Ackerman being struck in the face by a bullet. This video has not been edited by Your News Now. This is how the video of the incident was sent to the media.

The Putnam County Sheriff’s Office received a call about a semi on the CSX crossing on Sycamore Street in Columbus Grove around 6:45 Monday night. Video footage shows the train is unable to stop and hits the semi, just behind the cab - dragging part of the truck around 250 yards down the track, before the train came to a halt.
