The Lima Police Department was called out to a home in the 2400 block of Lakewood Avenue, around 9:30 a.m. on New Year's Eve morning, after a person looking after the home while the residents were away found two dead canines. They were both skinned and left in the driveway. The person that noticed the canines told police that they were not there at 10 o'clock the night before when they were at the home last.

The fire started in a detached garage at a home at 17 E. Center St in Leipsic. The owner came home and saw evidence of the fire after it self-extinguished. Investigators from the fire marshal's office say the fire was intentionally set and they are offering a reward of up to $5,000 for any information that leads to the arrest of the person or people responsible. 33-year-old Matthew Brown was indicted by an Allen County Grand Jury in March with one count of sexual battery, two counts of gross sexual imposition, and one count of importuning. According to the indictment, Brown had sexual contact with a child that was 12-years-old at the time of the offenses in 2020.

William "Billy" Brown was found lying in the roadway of the 700 block of North Phillips Road in Allen County back on November 8th, 2020 at 5:30 AM. An autopsy report revealed that Brown was hit in the head by some kind of object. The coroner also ruled the case a homicide. The investigation has been ongoing by the Allen County Sheriff's Office since that time. Elizabeth Anne Williams is the mother of Brown, and she has been searching for answers in the case.

Crime stopper and the Lima Police Department are still looking for leads in a summer shooting. Crime stoppers is offering a reward for tips that lead to the arrest of the person or people responsible for the shooting of Cory Clair on August 13th.   According to Lima Police detectives, Clair was ambushed from the bushes outside of a home in the 1300 block of Chestnut Street.   Clair suffered from multiple gunshot wounds and was taken to the hospital to be treated for his injuries.  Crime stoppers is urging for anybody with information into the shooting to call them.   Tips can be made anonymously by calling 419-229-7867
