The process to receive your marriage license just became quick and easy. The Allen County Court of Common Pleas, Probate Division, announced the launch of its new electronic marriage application, now available on the court's website. The new service has its sights on streamlining the marriage application process, providing couples with a user-friendly and more efficient way to apply for a marriage license.

July 31, 2024, Press Release from the Ohio  Department of Commerce: COLUMBUS, Ohio – In response to multiple complaints made by the licensed real estate community to the Ohio Department of Commerce Division of Real Estate and Professional Licensing (REPL), the division is issuing a reminder to licensees and consumers about Ohio law as it pertains to out-of-state real estate brokers. Generally speaking, real estate professionals must be licensed in the state of Ohio in order to do business. The Division reminds consumers that working with an unlicensed or unauthorized real estate broker or agent can result in litigation, time and money loss, and puts the real estate transaction in question at risk.

After more than 7 years of planning, the City of Lima is launching a new process to take stock of rental properties within the city. The city council passed the legislation back in January, and the rental housing unit registration process is up and running. Any property owner who has rental units is required to register those units with the city. Whether it is one or 50 units, they must be registered. City officials say that 56% of the housing in the city is rental property. The new registration will provide information about the properties that will help keep track of the condition and ownership of the units.
