"Any of our veterans that are waiting for their appointments or their rides to appointments, they now will have a place to get in out of the weather," said Allen County Commissioner Brian Winegardner. "There will be a bathroom in there, lobby, office area, storage and so on. So I think it will be a good fit for what our veterans need."

Susan Barnett pleaded guilty to Theft in Office and Communications Fraud back in 2019. Records state that in her role as clerk of courts as far back as 1997, Barnett was stealing money that was due to defendants in garnishments and/or bankruptcy cases, depositing it into her own accounts, and then falsifying records. Restitution hearings have begun in Lima Municipal Court in order to return the stolen money to the victims in the case.
A new Clerk of Courts was sworn in for Putnam County Thursday afternoon.
Kimberly Redman was sworn in at the Putnam County Courthouse. Redman was appointed after the elected Clerk of Courts, Teresa Lammers retired. She has been training with Lammers for the past year so that she would be prepared to take on the many responsibilities of the clerk.
