Some of the local recipients include $10,000 to Buckland Fire Department and $10,000 to the Cridersville Fire Department in Auglaize County. Columbus Grove Fire Department got $10,000, Continental Fire Department got $5,500, Glandorf Fire Department received $6,808.55, Miller City Fire Department $3,886.91, and Ottoville Fire Department got $10,000 in Putnam County.
The free curbside pickup meals were made with donations given to the fire department from several local businesses. As the Pulled pork dinners were handed out, most people handed back money to donate. The donations will be split up between Bless a Bulldog and the Lord’s Pantry.
A total of six different fire departments were called out to a fire just north of Columbus Grove Thursday afternoon. At around 2 o'clock, Columbus Grove Fire Department got a call pertaining to a field fire, just off of Road T13. The fire spread from a brush fire from a house near the cornfield, and it managed to burn nearly 40 acres of corn stubble. The fire took just under two and a half two hours to contain.
