
Local fire departments get equipment grants from the Ohio State Fire Marshal and Gov. Mike DeWine. Over one million dollars in grants were awarded to 117 fire departments across the state.
Some of the local recipients include $10,000 to Buckland Fire Department and $10,000 to the Cridersville Fire Department in Auglaize County. Columbus Grove Fire Department got $10,000, Continental Fire Department got $5,500, Glandorf Fire Department received $6,808.55, Miller City Fire Department $3,886.91, and Ottoville Fire Department got $10,000 in Putnam County.

$10,000 to the Ohio City Fire Department and $10,000 to the Willshire Fire Department in Van Wert County, and Ridgeway and Forest Fire Departments in Hardin County got $10,000 each. Plus the Blanchard Township and Delaware Township Fire Departments each received $10,000 grants and the Vanlue Fire Departments got $3,930. in Hancock County. The grants go up to $10,000 and help fire departments, especially volunteer fire departments, get the necessary equipment they need to help protect residents in our area.
