ELIDA (WLIO) — Celina continued its strong run in Western Buckeye League play with a decisive win over Elida.

The Bulldogs wasted no time getting on the board in the first inning, as Hayley Germann drove in two runs with a ball down the third base line.

Celina kept the momentum going later in the inning. Olivia Sutter added an RBI double to score Lilly Gonzalez, and Bristol Shreves followed with a hit into the gap that brought home two more runs.

Elida’s Mia Mammone recorded a strikeout in the inning, but Celina’s offense proved too much to handle.

Celina controlled the game from start to finish, earning a run-rule victory in five innings to improve to 15-2 overall and remain unbeaten in league play.
