Wapakoneta baseball breaks it open late in shutout win over Greenville

WAPAKONETA (WLIO) — Wapakoneta used a late offensive surge to pull away from Greenville in a 5-0 non-league win.
After a scoreless start, Blake Rogers got the Redskins on the board in the fourth inning with a base hit that brought home Joel Moore.
Wapakoneta added to its lead in the fifth. Jarrett Mullen and Daron Houser each scored on passed balls before Rogers delivered again with another RBI hit to plate Moore.
Zach Fisher capped the inning with a base knock that scored Avram Long, as the Redskins put up four runs in the frame.
Wapakoneta’s pitching staff made the lead stand, holding Greenville scoreless to secure the shutout victory.
