CORY-RAWSON (WLIO) — Cory-Rawson used a three-run fourth inning to rally past Temple Christian for a 4-2 win in NWCC play.
Levi Williams set the tone early on the mound, striking out three batters for the Hornets.
Temple Christian struck first in the fourth, as Clay Sawmiller laid down a bunt that brought home Dane Williams to extend the lead to 2-0.
Cory-Rawson answered in the bottom half. Mason Fruth drove in the first run with a ground ball, and Zyven Smith followed with a bloop single to tie the game at two.
The Hornets took the lead later in the inning on an RBI double by Kaedyn Witteman, capping the three-run frame.
