Allen County Adult Protective Services is encouraging residents to wear purple on June 15 in recognition of Elder Abuse Awareness Day. Officials hope the campaign will raise awareness about elder abuse, neglect and exploitation while connecting seniors with resources that help them remain safe and independent.
