The Lima Festival and Amphitheater Alliance has launched as a nonprofit to oversee programming and events at the Greater Lima Region Amphitheater. The group plans to bring year-round festivals and affordable, family-friendly entertainment to downtown Lima.

The Lima Sister Cities Association will host its annual Cherry Blossom Festival to celebrate its partnership with Harima-cho, Japan. The event will feature cultural performances, food and activities, along with a volunteer cleanup effort ahead of the festival.
