Wednesday, Mercy Health Saint Rita’s held a cookout for all their staff as a thank you for all they have done and pushed through during COVID-19. It was also a celebration for National Hospital Week. It was a time that associates could get out of the building to grab a quick bite, relax, and just take a breath.

April is National Child Abuse Prevention Month, and the two organizations wanted to show their support for the cause by holding a cookout. Staff from the police department and children services spent the afternoon cooking hot dogs and handing out candy to people’s cars as they drove through the parking lot.

Things are heating up at Christian Corner Community Center cookout. 

Part of World Elder Abuse Awareness Month, the community was invited to a free cookout on Thursday.
