It has been a struggle for many these past two years during the pandemic and especially difficult for those in the health care field.
Wednesday, Mercy Health Saint Rita’s held a cookout for all their staff as a thank you for all they have done and worked through during COVID-19. It was also a celebration for National Hospital Week. It was a time that associates could get out of the building to grab a quick bite, relax, and just take a breath.
Aimee Kuhlman – Director EVS, Patient Transport, & Linen adds, “We just want to thank everybody for all their hard work, and dedication, and perseverance that they’ve done for this past year. Many times, we felt like giving up and quitting but nobody has. So we’re very thankful for that and very appreciative for all that they have done all year long.”
They estimate that they served just over 1,500 meals to their staff from all departments of the hospital.
