An investigation is underway after a man was discovered dead inside his vehicle at a Lima gas station Tuesday evening.

The Mercer County Sheriff reports that his office received a 9-1-1 call at 6:49 a.m. of an injury accident involving a car and semi with one vehicle in a pond. An investigation found that a 65-year-old male from Utica, New York was driving Volvo Semi westbound on State Route 29 where he missed his turn onto Harris Road. It’s believed he was backing up when a Honda driven by Atsushi Tanaka of Sidney hit the rear of his trailer, went off the northside of the roadway, down a ditch, through a fence coming to rest submerged in a pond.
On Monday afternoon, 31 year old Cindel Fenter of Defiance was southbound on County Road 22 driving a 1999 GMC Suburban. Fenter drove off the right side of the roadway, came back on the roadway and drove off the left side of the road, striking a ditch and flipping the car, ejecting her.
Authorities in Hancock County are looking for answers after a woman's body is found along a roadway between Findlay and Arcadia.
