UPDATE: Lima Police report that 59-year-old Dennis Hempker of Lima was shot in the kitchen of 2322 Lakewood Ave. He was transported to St. Rita's and then life-flighted to a Columbus hospital. Lima Police report that the 9-1-1 call for a shooting came in around 8:30 pm. Detectives say Hempker went into the home without permission and a fight with the resident lead to them shooting Hempker. The shooting remains under investigation.
