The Lima Kiwanis Club is hosting its annual spring Diva’s Den, offering free prom dresses to high school students ahead of prom season. The longtime community project helps ease financial stress for families while ensuring teens can participate in the milestone event.

“We found that there was real need for it, not only from a financial point of view, but so many of the stores that sold that kind of thing are no longer here, and we’re finding girls are finding it harder and harder to get a dress, and so they come there, they find what they want, and it saves their parents a great deal of money,” said Candi Newland of the Lima Kiwanis Club.
