President Donald Trump has pardoned over 1,500 people charged as part of the January 6, 2021, Capitol riot. So, what does it mean for the local people who were charged? According to Federal Court Records, the case against Shawndale and Donald Chilcoat from Celina has been dismissed. They were facing numerous charges following the investigation. According to the complaint, the Chilcoats were seen in pictures and video from inside the Capitol Building and the chamber that lawmakers were voting to confirm the presidential election as rioters entered the Capitol.

The case continues for a Mercer County couple charged with being part of the January 6, 2021, storming of the U.S. Capitol. Donald and Shawndale Chilcoat are facing numerous federal charges from the events of that day, including disorderly and disruptive conduct in a restricted building and obstruction or impeding any official proceeding. A hearing was set for last week for a change of plea, but the case is continuing with a status conference set for next month.
