Downtown Lima Inc.'s August Third Thursday event will bring $5 food and drinks, shopping, live entertainment and activities to downtown Lima starting at 5 p.m. Organizers say the event has become a major boost for downtown businesses, with the Lima RTA trolley available to help visitors travel between locations.

The Meeting Place on Market will host its annual Christmas in July celebration on Friday, July 24, offering free family-friendly activities, holiday-themed treats and festive fun in downtown Lima. Organizers say the event is their way of thanking the community while giving families a chance to celebrate the holidays during the summer.

Downtown Lima Inc. will launch this year’s Third Thursdays series on May 21 with expanded events and new $5 promotions. The downtown event will feature food specials, shopping deals, live entertainment, a farmers market and a community cruise-in.

Lima will be going green Saturday as the annual Irish Day Parade returns to Main Street.
