October 31, 2024, Press Release from the Hancock County Convention & Visitors Bureau: (FINDLAY, OH, October 31, 2024) ArtWalk, a family-friendly free event taking place quarterly will mark the beginning of the holiday season in Downtown Findlay on Friday, November 1. ArtWalk is an opportunity for Downtown Findlay businesses and local creatives to come together, with artists and musicians located within walking distance of each other at local shops, restaurants, and businesses.  Visitors can view artwork and talk to artists, listen to the talents of musicians, and also support local business.  Artwork is available for purchase at nearly all locations.

The plan includes making about 95 acres of Findlay a Designated Outdoor Refreshment Area, or DORA. That would be a part of the city where open containers of alcohol are allowed, but only in a special plastic cup. Only permit holders within the area would be allowed to sell the alcohol, and public intoxication laws would still be in effect. This is being done as a way to bring some more attention to the downtown Findlay area.

Only one building remains standing at the scene of a fire that damaged parts of Downtown Findlay in January.
