A man is in critical condition after being stabbed in the neck during an altercation at a Sidney residence late Saturday night.
Around 4 p.m. Thursday, Lima firefighters were called out to a duplex in the 800 block of Atlantic Avenue. Firefighters said the duplex is a total loss, and that it appears the fire started in the upstairs. The cause looks to be electric, but is under investigation. The Red Cross is assisting the 9 adults and their multiple pets.
The Lima Fire Department states that around noon they received a call of a fire on the second floor of a duplex located at 621 North Metcalf Road. Upon arrival, firefighters noticed heavy fire and smoke coming out of the 2nd floor side window of the duplex. The fire was put out within five minutes upon arrival, according to firefighters. All occupants of the home were able to escape once the fire started. No firefighters or occupants were injured.
A duplex is suspected to be a total loss after a fire Thursday morning. American Township Fire Department dispatchers received a call Thursday morning of a structure fire at 2972 Lilly Drive.
The American Township Fire Department responded to a call for a structure fire and home explosion, that turned out to be a van explosion.
