The Lima Fire Department was called to a house fire at 1011 West Elm. Heavy smoke was seen coming from the back of the house when they arrived on the scene. Fire officials on the scene say they don’t know the cause of the fire but they do believe it started in the kitchen and worked its way up the wall to the second story of the home.

Elm and Pine will be closed from Monday, September 28th through Friday, October 16th. Crews will be reconstructing the roadway and replacing the decks on both bridges. The Ohio Department of Transportation is managing the 3.9-million dollar project. The closure will also include the Ottawa River bikeway tunnel.

Two vehicles were involved in a crash earlier Wednesday afternoon.

Power could be out in portions of Allen County until the early morning hours on Tuesday, after a truck driver snaps power lines.
