The annual Thanksgiving dinner survey by the American Farm Bureau Federation shows it will cost $64 to feed a family of ten. That is a whopping 40% increase from just two years ago. The turkey is the centerpiece for many at the Thanksgiving table, and that price has hiked over 20% compared to a year ago. These high prices aren't slowing down the last-minute rush to the supermarket.

Thanksgiving is almost here, but some students at Lima City Schools kicked off the holiday a little early.

Students, their parents, as well as faculty, all shared a Thanksgiving meal. Freedom Elementary School hosted a Thanksgiving feast where kindergartners learned the importance of sharing a meal with family as well as staff that helps teach them every day. Organizers say that an event like this takes a while to plan, but in the end, it's worth seeing all the smiling faces enjoy a meal as one.

With the Thanksgiving holiday coming up many schools have been taking time to be thankful.
