Householder is serving a 20-year federal prison sentence for his role in the scandal that involves a $1 billion bailout of First Energy. The 10 new felony charges, including theft in office and money laundering, stem from when Householder was in office from 2017 to 2022. He allegedly stole $750,000 from his campaign account to pay for his legal defense in his federal bribery case and did not accurately fill out ethics forms.

Timothy DeHaven, owner of DeHaven Home and Garden Showplace, pleaded guilty to seven felony charges, which includes selling without a license, filing incomplete, false, and fraudulent tax returns and failing to file monthly tax returns for his business.
