AAA predicted that the Thanksgiving travel season was going to reach pre-pandemic levels this past weekend and it doesn't look like that it will be slowing down at the end of the year.  Last year, they estimated that there would be around 6 million Americans hitting the skies around Christmas and that total could go even higher this year.

Ohio Secretary of State Frank LaRose would like to see a supermajority in elections, but that requirement would only be for voter-approved amendments that are put on by the public, not by state lawmakers. For ballot issues put on by state lawmakers, like Issue One and Two in this past general election, the pass or failure would only have to reach, at least, 50%.

The American Township Fire Department was called out just before 2 a.m. to a tractor-trailer that crashed through a guard rail into a ditch near the river at U.S. 30 mile marker 7. The truck was heading east when it went off the right side of the highway. Fire officials say about 75 gallons of diesel fuel leaked out with some getting into the Ottawa River. 100-foot of booms were placed in and around the river to contain the fuel.
