“There’s no registration required,” said Jason Aldrich, communications and public relations manager for the West Ohio Food Bank. “Simply come out, line up in your car, get out for a little bit to explore the resource fair and all the booths we’ll have there to offer, and then just follow the line through the fairgrounds.”
Volunteers packed boxes of food and loaded them into vehicles as dozens of families came through the Elm Street Church of the Nazarene on West Elm Street to receive holiday provisions. The event was a collaborative effort between the church and several partner organizations.
Held at Lima Senior High School, the expo will feature health screenings, informational exhibits, and demonstrations aimed at promoting health equity for the mind, body, and soul.

As part of the Day of Caring, the West Ohio Food Bank offered a no-registration needed food distribution to reach out to more people. And what a reach it had. Thousands of pounds of food left the food bank and into the homes of those needing a little help to make ends meet.

They spoke with financial institutions, medical services, literacy support, and family programs, among others, with many making an impact on individuals.
