300 families will be getting food and gifts thanks to the donation from community members, students, and businesses around St. Marys.  

The Goodfellows continue to make sure that everyone in the St. Marys community has a Merry Christmas. For over 40 years, the group has provided presents and food for families in the St. Marys school district that are in need this time of year.   Many school and community organizations contribute funds to purchase the items that are given out.   This year they are helping over 230 families have a better Christmas.  After decades of doing the holiday giveaway, the process is like a well-oiled machine.

For some families around this time of year, Christmas just isn't something that they are able to celebrate the way that they might want to - but in St. Mary's this is where the Goodfellows volunteer group steps in, to lend a helping hand for families in need. The group assembles care packages of donated food and toys for hundreds of families a year, and with nearly 75 years of holding the event and many student volunteers, they have sorting process down to a science.  Seeing so ...
