GROB Systems Inc. has launched a program with area schools to introduce concepts of science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) to elementary students.
Apprentices at GROB Systems Inc. in Bluffton spend two years in training, either in the mechanical or electrical pathway, followed by two years of job placement in a specific department at the facility. They also have the opportunity to be hired by GROB outright.
Our OhioMeansJobs Student Employee of the Month is Joe Mosley, a 2024 Bath graduate who is on his way to a successful career at GROB! Shortly after graduating from Bath High School, Joe Mosley began as an apprentice at GROB Systems Inc. He has an interest in engineering, and the program helps him learn about a variety of jobs and skills through hands-on practical applications.
On Monday, over 50 companies attended the signing day at Tri Star Career Compact in Celina to welcome almost 150 students into their company workforce. This is the first time the technical school held the full-fledged event for its students. Business representatives say this is a great opportunity for the soon-to-be graduates, while giving them employees with certified experience.
Fifteen apprentices at GROB Systems, Inc. have completed enough on-the-job training hours to earn their journeyperson Industrial Machinist System Technician certificates. Today, they received those awards verified by The Ohio State Apprenticeship Council.
Wednesday, area high school students got the chance to explore some of the most wanted jobs. Students from Allen East High School visited the Grob Systems Inc. manufacturing plant in Bluffton. While there they participated in several activities that helped students learn more about their apprenticeship program.
