Two Allen County non-profits will continue to receive funding from the state to address homelessness. Lima Samaritan House and the West Ohio Community Action Partnership will be receiving funding from the Homeless Crisis Response Program. Lima Samaritan House will receive $342,200 and the West Ohio Community Action Partnership will receive $570,100.

Last week, Governor Mike DeWine opened the "Ohio Summit on Ukrainian Refugees" to get the state prepared if any of the refugees make their way to our state. Could it be possible that any would make their way to our region of the state? The answer is unknown. The West Ohio Community Action Partnership says if it does occur there is assistance they could provide them.
People gathered in Elida Wednesday afternoon, introducing Connected Hope Homeless Bus Ministry to the community. Connected Hope started 6 years ago when Russ Thomas and Christy Crouch met the homeless in the streets at night, handing out supplies and connecting them to resources.
