An assault report ended with Lima Police officers and the Allen County SWAT team surrounding a home Tuesday night. It started just after 10 o'clock when Eric Inmon of 800 Holmes Ave. came to the police department to report he'd been punched in the face several times by his roommate, Travis Rimes. Police said Inmon had left the home after the alleged assault and Rimes reportedly followed him, carrying a gun.

The suspect in a February bar shooting in Lima that left three men dead is behind bars. The Lima Police Department said U.S. Marshals found and arrested 24-year-old Deontray Forrest, Wednesday morning in Cleveland. Lima detectives had an arrest warrant for Forrest on suspicion of murder stemming from the February 4 shooting at Levels Lounge. That's where they found three men dead. 28-year-old Terell McGraw and 24-year-old Devontae Upshaw, whose bodies were inside the bar. And 25-year-old Timothy White was found dead on the sidewalk. Forest is sitting in the Cuyahoga County Jail.

We take a look at our third cold case as part of series with the Lima Police Department. It was the night of Sept. 25, 2005, around the intersection of W. Market St. and N. Metcalf St. 53-year-old Lucious Upshaw was leaving some friends’ home at 555 W. Market St. As he got into his Cadillac to leave, someone had been waiting for him and opened fire into his car.

Six homicides occurred within Lima in 2019. That’s one more than the yearly average Lima has seen. The Lima Police Department has worked to solve half of them and continue to work on the remaining three.

The first murder came early on, Jan. 15. Branson Tucker was found in a car and later died of his injuries. He was shot at a residence on St. Johns Avenue during a late night card game. Kenneth Cobb and Jerome Fuqua are suspected of his murder. They have trials scheduled for January and February respectively.

We start today with a follow up to a shooting we told you about last night, a man is now dead. We previously reported about a shooting on S. Metcalf St. around 7:45 Wednesday night. Police confirmed 47-year-old Jermaine Ingram has died after suffering multiple gunshot wounds to his chest. Police were called to 635 S. Metcalf St., where they found Ingram and transported him to the hospital. He died shortly after getting there. Two children were at the house when the shooting occurred. No weapon was recovered, but police continue to investigate.

We're following a shooting that put one man in the hospital and our Eran Hami was live earlier at the scene where the shooting is believed to have happened. When Eran arrived on scene Tuesday afternoon, the Nye and Elm street corner was littered with bullet casings, but outside that, we don't have too much information at this time.

The Lima Police Department has investigated four homicides in 2019. On average, the city has seen five a year for the last couple of years. In 2019 though, only one of the four remain unsolved. "The officers and the detectives of the Lima Police Department, they do an excellent job all the time," said Sgt. Jason Garlock, a detective for LPD. "They work hard, they do the very best they can to make sure all crimes are taken very seriously and given the utmost respect and hard look at."

A man is now in the hospital after being stabbed this afternoon on South Collett Street. The Lima Police Department was called out to the 200 block of South Collett Street around 3 p.m. The Lima Police Department says 20-year-old Kayonna Stiggers allegedly cut her uncle, 43-year-old Daniel Williams with a knife after they got into a fight. A Lima Police Department detective on the scene said they weren't the only two involved.

The Lima Police Department is investigating their first homicide of 2019 after being called out to what appeared to be a motor vehicle accident.

Around 3:30 Tuesday morning, officers responded to the 600 block of Michael Ave. after a vehicle had struck a power pole. Officers found 34-year-old Branson Tucker of Lima, in the back seat with a gunshot wound to his torso.
