The Lincolnview Lancer community gathered to honor those brave men and women who have served our country. Friday afternoon inside Lincolnview High School was their annual Veterans Day program where students and staff had their veteran family members recognized. There were a total of 67 veterans in attendance, with Lincolnview band and choir students performing patriotic songs and tributes. The keynote speakers were from the honor flight northeast Indiana, where they discussed how much honor flights mean to our veterans. A goal of the Veterans Day program is to teach students to always show respect for our country's most courageous men and women.

Students at Lincolnview High School spent Thursday morning finding ways to prepare for summer and life after high school. The school hosted its fourth annual career fair for juniors and seniors. Most of the companies were from the Van Wert County area with a few others from surrounding counties. The school counselor says she wants the students to focus on the three "E's," employed, enlisted or enrolled. She said the goal of the career fair is to have each student walk away with a plan after high school to either have a job, join a military branch or enter college.

Lincolnview Elementary School received an outstanding award on Wednesday morning. The Ohio Department of Education presented Lincolnview with the Momentum Award. This award is based on excellent scores in several different school subjects.The teachers and staff made this possible by working in teams and focusing on the students.
