The National Retail Federation expects spending levels to reach record levels this holiday season and local shoppers were trying to get more bang for their buck on Black Friday. 

The last few days before Christmas can be a little hectic, especially if you're still looking for those last few gifts. If you haven't finished shopping, don't worry, you're not alone - according to the National Retail Federation, around 61% of people will wait until the last week before Christmas Day to finally finish up their shopping.

The holiday season also translates to shopping season for some people. Thanksgiving happened to fall one week closer to Christmas than last year, so that means one less week of Christmas shopping. This Black Friday, local retailers were packed with shoppers hoping to get a jump start to the shortened shopping season.
