Providing much-needed information on a variety of issues is the goal of a new “Lunch & Learn” at a Lima community center. About a dozen people turned out for the Mizpah Community Center’s first community informational luncheon on Tuesday afternoon. The topic was health care coverage and home health options. Organizers hope that people will learn more about what is available to them when it comes to their health needs and being informed can save them a lot of time, energy and money.

13 faith-based communities and churches gathered at Lima Memorial Hospital this morning(10/22/19) for an awards banquet. The funds given to these groups were provided in support of Activated Faith Community Challenge, which encourages local faith-based communities to take control of their health - whether it be mental, physical or spiritual. The groups being recognized were not only given financial assistance but technical support and any other resources they may need for a healthier organization.

Lions, tigers, and zebras. Those are just a few of the things some lucky Lima children got to see on Thursday. 25 kids attending the Mizpah Community Center Summer Camp Program headed to the Toledo Zoo on Thursday morning. The center wanted to provide the children with a nice field trip before the camp was over but finances were tight. The center's director took to Facebook asking the community to help. The donations started to pour in.

The Mizpah Community Center Board, Church Women United, and Rosculp Church of Christ have teamed up to build a new ramp at the Mizpah Community Center.
