The world of professional bowling is once again setting course for the town of Coldwater this weekend. The annual Bowlerstore.com Classic super regional kicks off this weekend at Pla-Mor Lanes in Coldwater. For over 15 years, professional bowlers have come to the annual PBA event and put their talents on display for all in the community to see. Over 96 bowlers came through the alley Friday afternoon for their practice session before the tournament begins tomorrow through Sunday. Ownership at Pla-Mor Lanes always has this time of the year circled on their calendar, and they say this year's tournament promises to be a good one.

The Relay for Life of Lima will be rocking this year as it marks a milestone. This will be the 30th anniversary of the event in Lima! Each year cancer survivors, their family, friends, and supporters gather at Lima Stadium. They take the time to honor those who have survived and remember those who lost the battle with luminaries. There is still time to join the relay on June 14th. You can come just for the survivor's lap or stay for an evening filled with entertainment to raise money to fight cancer.
At Volusia Speedway Park from February 6 to 11, 2023 UNOH will be fielding 3 cars driven by 3 different drivers and crewed by 24 UNOH Motorsports Team students for the UMP DIRTCar Winter Nationals. The University built modified cars will be driven by three UNOH Racers: Randy Giroux from Fort Erie, Ontario, Canada. (#01 car), Dylan “Leroy” Henkins from Waynesburg, Pennsylvania (#00 car), and Dylan Murray from Halls, Tennessee (#100 car), all UNOH High Performance students.
The University of Northwestern Ohio held their largest orientation of the year and invited a very special guest to greet the students.
During the three day orientation for the college of applied technologies, former NASCAR driver Kenny Wallace helped welcome the students to campus. About 450 students and their families went through orientation this week, learning about housing, safety services and registering for classes. Students also toured campus and met with students to talk about life at UNOH. Wallace's message to students was all about seizing the day.
