ALLEN COUNTY, OH (WLIO) - The Relay for Life of Lima will be rocking this year as it marks a milestone. This will be the 30th anniversary of the event in Lima!
Each year cancer survivors, their family, friends, and supporters gather at Lima Stadium. They take the time to honor those who have survived and remember those who lost the battle with luminaries. There is still time to join the relay on June 14th. You can come just for the survivor's lap or stay for an evening filled with entertainment to raise money to fight cancer.
"You can donate by going on the Relay for Life webpage if you want. Our Facebook page, there's links where you can go ahead and donate. If you know somebody that's got a team you can donate to that team. There's lots of different ways. We're going to have raffles if you want to come. There's an auction that night that all the money will go to the relay. Teams are having raffles at their tents and things. So a lot of different ways you can donate and have a good time," said Cheryl Nagy, Relay for Life committee member.
Again the relay is Friday, June 14th starting with the survivors' lap at 6 p.m. with "My Cousin Eddie" playing at 7 p.m.
