The National Center for Urban Solutions (NCUS) held a graduation ceremony Tuesday to celebrate participants in its “Untapped Workforce” program.
Local nonprofits and social service agencies are coming together to meet the needs of many people in the area. Hygiene products are items that people facing financial difficulties may give up to pay bills or get food. More than a half-dozen agencies are asking you for help to collect products like shampoo, soap, toothpaste, and mouthwash. Their hope is to put together bags with hygiene items and information about services available in the region.
A new opportunity to find employment and jobs in the manufacturing field is coming to the Lima area. The National Center for Urban Solutions and West Central Ohio Manufacturing Partnership are coming together to provide a new advanced manufacturing training and employment placement program within the local Lima community. The program allows students to receive training in manufacturing, workplace readiness, and career coaching.
