LIMA, OH (WLIO) - The City of Lima is continuing their efforts to promote better neighborhoods with their annual impact grants.
The City of Lima holding its GenNext Makers Camp to promote careers right here in Lima. Monday was Teamwork Day, where students had to complete several activities that required teamwork to achieve the goal. Lima Mayor Sharetta Smith joined the fun by participating in one of the activities.
Crime Victim Services is hosting its first "Anti-violence Teen Summer Retreat" this week, teaching local students valuable skills such as leadership, empowerment, and relationship-building. The program aims to create a supportive space where youth can develop strategies to tackle issues they care about. The organizers believe that fostering these qualities early on will not only benefit teens but also strengthen the community as a whole.
