LIMA, OH (WLIO) - The City of Lima is continuing their efforts to promote better neighborhoods with their annual impact grants.
The goal of the grant is to increase volunteerism in projects that will make a significant impact in the community.
Non-profit organizations within the city are encouraged to apply. The goal of the grant is to increase volunteerism in projects that will make a significant impact in the community. You could get up to two thousand dollars from the city for your project and possibly get another two thousand from Activate Allen County. Organizers say to apply, and you may be surprised that your project gets funding.

Syndi Winkler is the City of Lima’s Neighborhood Specialists and says, “It’s just an opportunity for us to give to them who are going to get volunteers together to get involved in the community to give back to the community. So, if there’s a project or something a neighborhood association or organization or a non-profit’s looking to kind of bring volunteers together and do a project, this is the one you want to apply for.”
You can find the application on the City of Lima’s website and search “impact grant” and pick the 2024 application. They are due by October 18th, and you will be notified by November 1st if you are awarded the grant. The project must be completed by October of 2025.
