Heart and Sole of Allen County dropped off a shoe order that will go to kids in the Lima area who may have not had a chance to get appropriate footwear for the school year. Whether it's spring, summer, fall, or winter, Heart and Sole wants to ensure that students can go to school with a comfortable pair of shoes.

Sheriff Thomas Riggenbach says two men walked into an out-building where someone was living at 2947 Elm Sugar Road. He says the pair assaulted and shot the resident and took off. The victim, a 29-year-old male, had serious injuries and was rushed to the hospital.
