The City of Lima is gearing up for its fall road resurfacing project. The city has 15 roads marked for the road work being done by Bluffton Paving. They hope to start Wednesday, October 16th, with a portion of Robb Avenue between Cole and Metcalf. There are streets all around the city scheduled for resurfacing. The contractor will put up no parking signs a few days before to let residents know they will be coming. The public works department asks motorists and residents to find other routes during the repaving process as partial lane closures are expected.

ALLEN COUNTY, OH (WLIO) - The Allen County Engineer's Office is announcing that Bowman Road in Perry Township will be maintained on Thursday, September 5, 2024, from 7:30 a.m. through 5:00 p.m. for asphalt paving. Delays may be possible during maintenance.

ALLEN COUNTY, OH (WLIO) - Olt Road, between Hofferbert and Ramsey Road, will be closed on Wednesday, August 28, 2024, from 7:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. for asphalt paving. Emergency vehicles will have access. Ramsey Road, between Olt Road and Miller Road, will be closed on Wednesday, August 28, 2024, from 7:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. for asphalt paving. Their plan says that they intend to improve pedestrian facilities in the city by adding sidewalks that extend down Spencerville Rd. to N. Shore Dr. The five-foot-wide sidewalk will be placed mainly on the north side of the roads, and will connect surrounding residential areas with business, parks, schools, community centers, and churches. Though the city doesn’t plan on starting the project within the next year, they’ve opened the floor to questions from the community.
